How Is Exact Age Calculated?
Calculating exact age sounds simple — but it's trickier than it looks. Here's how it works:
Step 2: Check if the birthday has occurred yet this year. If not, subtract 1 from the base age.
Step 3: Calculate remaining months and days by comparing the birth month/day to today's month/day — accounting for months with different lengths.
Example: Born on August 15, 2000. Today is June 2, 2026.
Age = 25 years, 9 months, 18 days
